OWNERS of Filipino brands looking to expand abroad should consider the United States as a destination to take advantage of a downturn-induced fall in lease prices and a ready market of expatriate countrymen, experts said at a conference yesterday.  Chicken, Pinoy-style. Those opting to serve the domestic market, meanwhile, will continue to enjoy strong demand for their wares and services due to election spending and remittances from overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), they said. "We are optimistic that Filipino brands are ready to evolve into global brands and franchising has proven itself as a best way to grow outside these borders," Philippine Franchise Association President Robert F.
